Little League Coach Resource Center

Go to the Little League Coach Resource Center for information such as:

Seattle Mariners Video Series

Because the pandemic doesn’t allow for in-person clinics, the Seattle Mariners have put together a FREE video series.  The series content is broken up into 9 segments, totaling about 35 minutes.  Coaches can watch the entire series, one at a time, or revisit a particular segment as an ongoing resource.   Here is the link to the video series: Mariners Grand Slam Camp youth coaching instruction series - YouTube

Coach Selection Process

Thinking of managing or helping to coach your child's team?

Team managers (also know as the head coach) may be asked to participate in an interview with the league's manager selection committee. The league President nominates a slate of team managers upon which the Board of Directors votes. Team managers will be notified of their selection. Upon notification, managers and coaches will be required to participate in a coaching training session.  Managers and coaches returning to the league are required to resubmit all information every season; no position is guaranteed and no manager or coach is "tenured."

Coaches Registration

Those interested in coaching or managing a baseball or softball team for the 2024 Mukilteo Little League season MUST register online through Stack Sports.  PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  It is desirable that each team have a Team Manager, who serves as the head coach, and two Assistant Managers to assist with practices and games.  Any parent volunteer who plans to umpire games or assist with practices should register as a Parent Volunteer through Stack Sports.

Mandatory Background Checks

All coaches and volunteers must complete a background check performed by JDP through Little League.  After you register, you will be sent a link to complete the background check.  Please complete this process timely so we can add you to a team.  You will not be assigned to a team until your registration and background check is completed.  For more information see: Background Check Information on Little League's website.

Required Additional Safety Training

In addition to the annual safety training conducted at the Coaches Bootcamp, Little League requires coaches to take online training for Concussion Awareness and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Click here for more details and links to the training websites: Safety

Effective with the 2024 season, Little League now requires all leagues to comply with the federal law Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017.  Leagues must adopt Abuse Training approved by the U.S. Center for SafeSport. For more details, see the Little League Child Protection page: SafeSport Resources for Leagues - Little League. What this means is that Mukilteo Little League requires all coaches to take the online Abuse Training course. Further details and specific information on how to report your completed training will be forthcoming. See the Safety page for more information.

Game Rescheduling Instructions

If a game need to be rescheduled due to rainout or for other reasons the team managers are responsible to coordinate that change with all parties involved. Please use the following process. The Home team manager should make the official re-scheduling request.

Step 1: Identify a Field/Date/Time to reschedule your game

  • TeeBall, Rookie, Farm divisions: Teams should look to use their practice fields for rescheduled games.
  • Minor, Major and Teenage divisions: The authoritative field use schedule is online on the Mukilteo Little League website. You can ether browse by day or download the scheduled into an excel spreadsheet to identify fields/times. Website Link -> Full Field Usage Schedule

Step 2: Email the Mukilteo League Scheduler ([email protected] or [email protected] ) with your re-scheduling request. Please clearly identify the games you are rescheduling (ex.
